Post by Eldurath Dawnbreaker on Mar 2, 2009 22:47:06 GMT -5
Name: Eldurath Dawnbreaker (if my original one is out of the question which it most likely is this is the new Eldurath Dawnbreaker)
Age: 69
Gender: Male
Race: High Elf
Faction: Exiled Embassy
Position: Ranger
Magical Branch: None
Appearance: Eldurath is a tall proud Elf. He is 6'5 and weighs 119 pounds. Like every elf he has pointed ears but those ears can hear better than most ears. He has long golden hair like most High Elves. Very few have ever been able to hit him or other rangers with the fantastic firing speed and arrow tricks doubled with there excellent camouflage and perfect stillness the Rangers become part of the environment. But only one scar is know on Eldurath. When the High Elves fled from there homelands he got a scar from the Undead. Arthas gave him a scar on his left check. His eyes are hazel and are coupled with his smell and listening as the important senses. He has been trained not to blink as often to grasp in as much of the surroundings because it may save there lives and they may only get a few minutes to study it. Eldurath like all of the Rangers have a cloak that has been enchanted to look like whatever background that is behind them. Eldurath wears a full set of leather armor call the Armor of Agility making the wearer faster. Eldurath owns a bow Called Terlandro that has an enchanted string that never breaks. He has a quiver full of enchanted red arrows. The arrows are flame enchanted arrows. With his quiver on his back and his Bow in his hand or on his backs he ready for action.
Personality: Eldurath has kinda been pushed into being a Archer but when he was accepted as a Ranger he was over joyed. Now in his older years he is serious ready to take action and prefers action and less talking. Eldurath takes on enemies alone or with others whether the come or stay, when hes set his mind on something he goes out to do it. He enjoys his work cause he sacrifices his time he could be spending with someone else or of doing something unimportant to keep his new found homeland with less threats. He is a very agreeable man outside of taking on dangerous missions that seem impossible until accomplished. Even tough he gets a chance to rest he doesn't look forward at his weekly breaks. Eldurath is a man of action always looking forward to his next task. He prefers retreating when his cover is blow and the enemies outnumber and/or overpower them as do most of the other Rangers. Being out on the move almost all the time rangers don't usually have time to have love. It sometimes makes him sad that it is basically forbidden to love for Rangers. Eldurath will fight for justice whenever and wherever its needed.
Weapons/Items: Terlandro- The bow of Eldurath Dawnbreaker, it has a very durable string which is enchanted to never snap
Armor of Agility- Leather Armor which raises the running speed and quickness of the wearer
Fire Arrows- Every time a fire arrow is shot it instantly bursts into flames making whatever it hits get hit by fire as well
Strengths: Firing arrows very fast, staying completely still, can hear very very well
Flaws:Eldurath is a ranger even though each ranger is equipped with two knives they are very vulnerable to melee attackers. Mages could easily sense them staying completely still when there wrapped in there cloaks
History: Eldurath has trained to be a ranger ever since he could shoot and arrow. He had natural ability and skill with the bow. He and a small group of Rangers are the best Rangers ever in Azeroth according to the armies of the dead Eversong Woods. They each wear a cloak matching the background of any place by an enchantment by the most skilled mages in the High Elven kingdom. Eldurath can wrap himself in his cloak, draw his bow and wait for 20 minutes without shifting his posture. He has expert speed with the bow for there long years of training. Their eyes are sharpened, their ears are more ready, there senses more alert, the moves more graceful, and there speed of quickly drawing an arrow and letting it fly is amazing.
When Arthas came to the woods of Elwynn Forest the rangers were called to action (My RP sample is going to be of this battle). They let the Undead mill around aimlessly for days, ambush after ambush. Though there precisely laid marks did some help it wasn't enough. There leader Sylvanas Windrunner was killed and raised again by Arthas and the Rangers lost hope from losing there leader. When they left for there allies in Stormwind the Rangers felt ashamed of there loss and broke apart. Eldurath sensing a major threat coming from many sides including inside of there allies kingdom reformed with Eldurath as their leader.
Now the Rangers weave in and out of Stormwind territory slaying outlaws, gnolls, Defias Brotherhood Members, Stranglethorn Vale Trolls, and other things that could threaten the great kingdom. The Rangers mostly keep to themselves enforcing the law with a drawn back bow sending reports weekly and have occasional breaks from there long tiring work. Some consider them as another threat for just eradicating enemies, some who may be spies. Others think of them as men with the right idea, shoot first and ask questions later. They just do there job for Stormwind and to hone there excellent talent.
RP Sample: A cool wind blew. The stench of the dead becoming stronger and stronger. Of in the distance a small rumble was forming. Suddenly a shadow raced past in the trees. More shadows flew by while on the other side shadows dashed from limb to limb with super-human speed. They stopped suddenly, a women with golden hair stopped leading the rest of them. She nodded to the Archers on the other side and each of them pulled an arrow onto the strings of their bows. Many of the archers has different colored arrows. She nodded again to the other archers and they each drew cloaks over themselves making them suddenly disappear. The rumble now very loud suddenly began calming as a single skeletal horse with a armored rider with pale withe hair slowed to a stop. Everything seemed to quiet as if respecting the damned warriors.
The invisible Archers and barely moved at all for the next two hours. Nightfall was upon the forest, a makeshift camp for the Undead sat restlessly for the night. Suddenly a branch shifted as an Archer moved. A rotting skeleton looked up hearing a whizzing sound. The moment his head was turned to look at the trees he crumbled, his bones scattering everywhere. The armored rider looked as the Skeletons head rolled toward him with a long feathered arrow in it. He looked up yelling "ATTACK!" as dozens of arrows shot out of now where. Some were normal, some were flaming, some were frozen, some had lightning but every arrow whizzed from a branch. Skeletal archers rose there bows to fire from where the arrows were originating from. Arrows flew from both sides until an arrow flew. It caught on an invisible force tearing of an Archers cloak. He roared with furry and now the living dead looked dumbfounded as he drew arrow after arrow in milliseconds. Damned spell casters ran up summoning dark magic attacking the branches. Suddenly a yell of shock came as a brach snapped from a spell as a Archer popped out of thin air falling after the branch he stood on. A womens voice loud, clear, and commanding rose out from the branches yelling "RETREAT!" Branches quivered as Archers hopped down and ran into the forest. The Undead still wary stood for the rest of the night.
