Food for Thought:
- Be creative as possible when creating a character. I know that is the most abused line in the book but that's because it's a good one. Not everyone is going to be mighty warrior or a mage and not everyone is going to start off in a powerful position. Remember that the game is fluid and you are not stuck as you are. An unknown farmer may one day be a great champion, a minor lord might become a king, and a young unyielding tradesmen a future international tycoon.
- In regards to the minimum word total one should remember that it should not be something one aims for it should simply be something that ensures you do not post with too little. One is allowed, nay, encouraged to go up and beyond the word minimum and I believe it is something people will find remarkably easy to do once they get into the swing of it. If you would like to see an idea of what we're looking for you may check out my profile for Varian Wrynn. I've tried to keep it as short as possible in order for people to not feel overwhelmed and get a fair estimation of what is to be expected as a bare minimum.
- If you create a character and either myself or the staff find issue with some of the elements in your application do not be discouraged. There are no limits to the number of times one can apply and edit a character for approval.
- Age is not some flippant thing in this game and one should put serious thought into the choosing of one’s years. Great skills are hard won trophies and you'll need to keep that in mind when creating your character. We do not want to see teenage archmages and swordmasters running about.
- Flaws will be one of the defining parts of your application. A proper list of weaknesses are the foundation of a good character so the more the better. Flaws can range anywhere from poor tempers, weak arms or simple lack of confidence. This doesn't mean one should be devoid of strength. We simply wish characters to be as well rounded as possible.
- Note that the items of "Weapons and Items" should only include things of note. If one is a lady you need not list every dress in ones closet and if one is a farmer one need not list every farming device in ones shed.
